Keanu a Father at 16...

A report from Rebalance Ministry
It all started with an honest conversation.
At 16 years old, Keanu is carrying a responsibility most teenagers never face — he's a father to a 3-month-old son. After attending just two classes with Rebalance, one of our YFC missionaries met up with him over Panda Express for what
would become a conversation neither of them would forget.
While discussing fatherhood and the class topic on influence, Keanu was asked who he would want influencing his son.
His answer was simple: "God."
Then came the harder question — "Who would show your son how to follow God?"
Keanu's response was honest and raw:
"I wouldn't be able to show him. It would have to be someone else."
He wanted his son to know God, but didn't believe he could be the example his son needed.
That moment of vulnerability became an open door. The conversation turned to faith — what it actually looks like to follow Jesus, not perfectly, but genuinely. And somewhere in that exchange, something shifted in Keanu.
He began to see it: if he wants his son to know God, he needs to know God himself.
Keanu's mother expressed her gratitude that her son had a mentor pouring into him.
